Description
A round rug coil-woven from solution-dyed polyester rope in concentric bands of terracotta, brick and heathered violet, closing on a golden centre. Pigment runs through the full cross-section of the yarn rather than sitting on its surface, and the open coil drains instead of holding water — specified for patios, decks, balconies and indoor living zones, and made to order for OEM and ODM programmes. Four specification points determine how this round carpet performs: the continuity of the cord, the colour system, the UV package, and the way the fibre manages water. Each colour ring is wound from an unbroken rope length. No spliced segments, and no abrupt colour break anywhere along the radius. Pigment is compounded into the polymer before extrusion, so shade runs through the whole filament instead of being printed onto the face where it can abrade away. Light stabilisers are added at the extrusion stage to slow photo-degradation and surface chalking. The rope carries a three-year outdoor colour rating. Synthetic rope takes up no water, so the carpet does not swell, rot or hold odour after rain, spillage or pool splash. A coil carpet is only as good as the join between one row and the next. Each element below is a manufacturing decision, not a decorative one. Rope is wound ring by ring from a central core out to the rim, so tension is distributed evenly across every axis. The round stays circular — no cupping at the centre and no lifting at the edge. Every coil is stitched to its neighbour with a fine high-tenacity synthetic thread, run inside the braid valley so it is not exposed to foot traffic and grit cannot lift the rows apart. Spacing is held constant from centre to rim and each band transitions at a fixed radius, keeping the terracotta, brick and violet rings perfectly concentric rather than drifting off-centre. The final coil is closed with a bound edge that follows the circumference, giving the carpet a defined finish rather than a loose rope end that frays with use. The low-profile coil clears door thresholds and furniture bases without creating a trip lip, and resists riding up at the edge over time. Masterbatch is blended into the molten polymer before the fibre is extruded, so each of the three shades is locked through the entire cross-section of the yarn. That single decision drives most of what follows. There is no colour layer to abrade away. The shade will not rub off, fade patchily or bleed onto decking, and it carries a three-year outdoor colour rating well beyond that of piece-dyed rope. Stabilisers are carried in the yarn rather than sprayed on afterwards, shielding the filament from photo-degradation, chalking and embrittlement under sustained exposure. The high-tenacity core keeps elongation low. The weave holds its geometry under sustained furniture load instead of stretching, sagging or losing its coil pitch. The smooth filament face absorbs friction at every crossover, so braid-to-braid contact under foot traffic wears far more slowly than a twisted, fibrous rope. Terracotta, brick and violet filaments are blended together before winding. The heathered ground visually absorbs crumbs, dust and footprints between cleanings. Soil stays on the surface instead of penetrating the fibre. Most marks release with water and a mild detergent, and the open weave dries quickly afterwards. The practical result is a rope that behaves the same way on a sun-exposed terrace as it does beside a living-room sofa: colour held at filament level, no water retained in the fibre, and a geometry that does not relax under load. Colour is rated for three years of direct outdoor use. Because the pigment sits inside the filament, sunlight degrades the surface far more slowly than it does a printed alternative. Water passes through the open weave instead of pooling on the face. The cord sheds rather than absorbs moisture, and air moves through the gaps so the carpet dries quickly after a downpour. The braid cushions underfoot while holding a firm, level surface. Chairs and tables sit without rocking, and the structured coil recovers its shape once the load is removed. Standard specification below. Diameter, colour palette and edge finish are made to order. The bullseye rings anchor a seating group the moment the carpet lands — no furniture layout needed to make the area read as one unit. Springy rope weave feels warm and forgiving under bare feet, even over hard stone, tile or deck boards. Warm earth tones with a violet core give a designer focal point that coordinates with timber, rattan and neutral upholstery. The round format suits a defined group — a lounge set, a dining table for four, or a free-standing chair pair — and anchors it without requiring a rectangular footprint. Indoors it sits level under a coffee table; outdoors it drains and dries where a conventional rug would stay wet. Carpets are coil-woven in our own facility from rope we produce ourselves, which keeps diameter, shade and lead time under direct control rather than at a subcontractor's schedule. Send diameter, colour reference and target band sequence. We return a strike-off for approval. Solution-dyed yarn is compounded to the approved shades and checked for batch-to-batch consistency. Carpets are woven to the confirmed diameter with band transitions, pitch and stitch tension held to specification. Diameter, concentricity, edge integrity and shade are checked before rolling and export packing. Each colour band is wound continuously rather than cut and joined, so there are no spliced segments or abrupt colour breaks along the radius. Radial symmetry also distributes tension evenly, which keeps the carpet lying flat instead of cupping at the centre or waving at the edge. Yes. The cord is solution-dyed and UV-stabilised with a three-year outdoor colour rating, and the fibre does not absorb water. For the longest service life we recommend lifting the carpet during extended freezing conditions or where standing water persists. Vacuum or hose it down, then work any marks with a mild detergent solution and a soft brush. The open weave drains and air-dries, and there is no backing layer to trap moisture underneath. All three are made to order. Diameters from 90 cm to 180 cm are standard and larger sizes can be quoted; the ring palette, band widths, edge finish, label and packaging can be matched to an existing range. Send us your diameter, palette reference and order quantity, and we will confirm pricing, sampling and lead time. Samples available on request.
